We report rate coefficients for the relaxation of OH(v = 1) by O2 and N2O as a function of temperature. The rate coefficients for relaxation (in units of 10−13 cm3 molecule−1 s−1) can be fit by the following expressions: The results are discussed in terms of the possible mechanisms for relaxation, especially the influence of the weak chemical interaction between OH radicals and O2.
