Kaustubh joined our group in July, 2021.

Research interests:

Experimental and theoretical investigations of gas phase kinetics of reactions of atmospheric interest.

Kaustubh has left the group in July, 2023 due to his interest in pursuing other carrier option.

She has left our group due to health issues.

Ms. Rishu

Ms. Rishu had joined as an M.Sc. in Chemistry from IIT Madras (2021-2023). .

Title of his thesis :"Atmospheric Chemistry of Hydrofluoroolefins, Esters, Alkanes, Alkenes and Aldehydes Initiated by Atmospheric Oxidizers: Kinetic & Mechanistic Aspects".

Education:

B.Sc.(Honours): 2017-2020, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi.

Research interests:

Investigation of gas phase kinetics of reactions of atmospheric interest using Relative Rate (RR) technique.

She has discontinued her project work.

Ms. Nishtha Saxena

Ms. Nishtha did a Summer Research Internship in our lab from May-July, 2022 .

Research interests:

OH-initiated photo-oxidation reactions of tropospheric interest using experimental and theoretical methodologies.


She is a native of Lucknow, U.P. and did her B.Sc. in Chemistry from Amity University Lucknow Campus. She is currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai.

Ms. Arzoo

Arzoo joined our group in Jan, 2022. .

Mr. Sahil Yadav

Mr. Sahil has completed his M.Sc. in Chemistry from IIT Madras (2020-2022). .

Research interests:

Theoretical investigation of kinetics of OH and Cl radicals with VOCs of atmospheric interest using high level computational methods.

Mr. Raja Khatri

Raja joined our group in July, 2020. .

M.Sc.(Physical Sciences) : Bose Institute, Kolkata

Research interests:

Spectroscopic investigation of molecules of atmospheric interest. On Jan'22, Raja had to drop out of his Ph.D. programme due to his poor health. We wish him all the best and bright future.

Ms. Nguyen Xuan Dieu Linh

Ms. Linh did a summer internship in our lab from July-August, 2019. .

Research interests:

Cl initiated photo-oxidation reactions of 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran in atmospheric condition : an experimental investigation.

She is a native of Hanoi, Vietnam and currently pursuing her BSc in Chemistry from Vietnam National University - University of Science (VNU-HUS).

She was awarded with the GRIESHMA (Global Research Internship for Engineering Science Humanities and Management) Scholarship, an initiative by IIT Madras.

Ms. Fathima Shifana A. R.

Ms. Fathima did a summer internship in our lab from May-July, 2019. . .

Research interest :

Photo-oxidation reaction kinetics of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro isopropyl methacrylate with OH radicals: an experimental investigation.

She did her BSc from Farook College, Calicut.

She is currently pursuing her MSc from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut.

Ms. Nalini Ramya R M

Ms. Nalini did a summer internship in our lab from May-July, 2019.

Gas phase photo-oxidation reaction of 1,1,1,3,3,3- hexafluoro isopropyl methacrylate with Cl atoms: an experimental study.

She did her BSc from Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM), Port Blair.

She is currently pursuing her MSc from Women's Christian Collge, Chennai.

Mr. Hari Prasad D. Alwe

Hari Prasad visited our in April,2013 from Radiation and Photochemistry Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai, India. .

He learned DFT, ab initio calculations using Transition State Theory and Canonical Variational Transition State theory to compute the rate coefficients for gas phase reactions.

Current Afiliation: Hari Prasad is a Post-Doctrol Associate at University of Minnesota, USA.

Measuring the absolute kinetics for the gas-phase reactions of Hydro carbons with OH radical and Cl atoms using Pulsed Laser Photolysis (PLP)-Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF). Estimating the global warming potential (GWP) and ozone depletion potential (ODP), which are considered as indexing parameters to assess the impact of releasing compound on climate change.


Unfortunately, he had to drop out of the Ph.D. due to some personal reasons. Presently, he is running an educational startup and helping students to reach their dreams.
